Adam Ostroff is an Industrial designer, engineer, tinkerer and inventor with over 20 years of experience bringing consumer products from concept to market. Over the course of his career, he has designed and developed dozens of products across electronics, smart devices, household goods, and tactical equipment, many of which have been successfully launched through major retailers, e-commerce platforms, and direct-to-consumer channels.
As the founder of ARK Designs, Adam has worked hands-on through every stage of product development—from early concept and prototyping to engineering, manufacturing, and commercialization. He holds more than 20 patents and is known for his ability to transform complex ideas into practical, scalable products.
Plantelligence is the culmination of that experience, combining his background in product development with a focus on building intuitive, technology-driven solutions that solve real-world problems. His vision is to bridge the gap between nature and technology, making plant care accessible, reliable, and scalable for both consumers and businesses.
Plantelligence started with a simple problem.
I was working in a windowless office and wanted something natural on my desk—something that brought a sense of life into an otherwise artificial environment. But everything I found required sunlight and plant care knowledge I didn’t have. Like most people, I didn’t know how to properly manage watering, lighting, or humidity—and without natural light, nothing would survive anyway.
That’s when the idea clicked:
What if plants could take care of themselves?
I began prototyping the concept in my basement, using 3D printers, development boards, and off-the-shelf components. Over several years, I built and tested multiple versions, refining the system into something that could truly automate plant care.
What started as a solution for a single desk has evolved into Plantelligence—a platform designed to make growing plants effortless, no matter the environment or experience level.
To make plant care effortless, intelligent, and accessible to everyone.
We believe plants should be a source of enjoyment, not frustration. Our mission is to build a platform that simplifies plant care through automation and data, empowering anyone—regardless of experience—to successfully grow and maintain thriving plants.

I’ve spent over 20 years designing and launching consumer products – everything from electronics to household goods – and I’ve always been passionate about blending smart design with everyday life. As a plant enthusiast myself, I wanted to solve the #1 problem so many people face: keeping plants alive and thriving. That’s how Plantelligence was born.
An executive with more than 12 years of leadership experience spanning MedTech, robotics, Al, and loT.
He has served as CEO, Chief Revenue Officer, and Vice President of Global Sales, with deep expertise in building international sales organizations, launching innovative products, and forging strategic partnerships with global industry leaders.
